There are many options for accommodation in Faro. There are also several tourist resorts very close to Faro, such as, for example, in Olhão, Vilamoura and Quinta do Lago.

 

EWEPA participants are responsible for making their own arrangements and reservations. It is important to note that due to EWEPA 2024 taking place during the high season in the Algarve, hotels experience high demand. We strongly recommend booking your accommodation as early as possible.

 

EWEPA 2024 sessions will take place at the Faculty of Economics on the Gambelas Campus of the University of the Algarve. The Gambelas Campus is located 3 km from Faro International Airport, 5 km from Faro Beach (Ilha de Faro), and 7 km from Faro city center, specifically Faro Marina. 

 

Most of the hotels are situated in Faro city center (please see below). Regrettably, there are no hotels in Gambelas. Options within 3 km are available (please refer to the list below), but these are not located in Faro city center. 

 

There are regular bus services from Faro city center to the University of Algarve (Gambelas Campus). If you are staying in the city center you can catch bus number 18 to “Universidade – Gambelas” and also back to the city center (“Terminal Rodoviário”). This is a frequent circular route operated by the company Proximo. In order to facilitate transportation to and from Gambelas Campus, bus services will also be offered twice a day by the Organizing Committee. There will be a morning service from Faro city center (Faro Marina) to Gambelas Campus, and an afternoon service for the return journey to Faro city center, subject to the availability of spaces.
